Five years in a row an FD Gazelle: growing as an AI-first MSP
Robin Damen — managing director of Virtual Computing, 20+ years of MSP experience
Five times. Five years in a row. Dutch financial daily Het Financieele Dagblad has once again named Virtual Computing an FD Gazelle, one of the fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands. You only win it if your revenue grows by at least 20 percent for three years running. And it comes in exactly the year we turn twenty.
What is behind that growth? Our new workspace solutions, and the choice to be an AI-first MSP.
What an AI-first MSP is
An AI-first MSP puts AI to work across every stream of the business: in support, in security, in the insights we deliver and in the way we innovate. With one goal: better services and a better customer experience.
This is not a vision of the future. Every request that comes in passes AI first. It does the triage and decides whether a colleague needs to pick it up. AI already handles at least half of all first-line questions on its own. Of all our incoming requests, AI now resolves 35 percent completely, up from 20 percent in January. And we are not stopping there: our goal is 75 percent.
People for the work that matters
Does that mean fewer people? No. Human contact remains the foundation of our service. But our specialists are too valuable for work that keeps repeating itself. AI takes that on, so they have time for the questions that need real knowledge and experience. As our CTO Mohammad Moghtader puts it:
"We will never replace people with AI, but it does have to help people."
For you, that means your question is picked up straight away and reaches the right person immediately. Simple questions are solved fast, tricky ones get a specialist's full attention. And in our customer portal, our AI assistant Alex is always ready to help.
Faster insight, faster innovation
With AI we deliver better insights, faster, and we innovate at a higher pace. Improvements and new services are ready for you sooner. What we learn ourselves, we also put to work for your organisation, with Microsoft Copilot or your own AI infrastructure.
Cybersecurity comes first
Cybersecurity is at the top of our agenda. That is exactly where AI helps enormously. It spots anomalies and threats faster than a person alone can, so we step in sooner. That keeps your organisation protected, even as attacks keep getting smarter.
The workspace as a growth engine
Our new workspace solutions give our growth extra speed:
- The new Online Workspace. Since 1 September, our Online Workspace runs on Microsoft's Azure Virtual Desktop technology, in our own data centres in Eindhoven and Den Bosch. Your data stays in the Netherlands.
- Modern Workplace. With our Modern Workplace, Microsoft 365, device management and security work as one, for teams that want to work from anywhere.
More than 600 customers now work on over 2,000 workspaces that we manage. And we are ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified, audited externally every year.
Why this matters to you
You don't choose an IT partner for just a year. Your workspaces, your data and your telephony all run on it. So you want a partner that keeps investing, in AI, in security and in new technology, and that will still be around in five years. Five Gazelles in a row show we have that covered.
For us, getting bigger doesn't mean getting impersonal. You keep a dedicated point of contact, and we stay a Brabant company, based in Oisterwijk.
Thanks to you
This Gazelle belongs to our team, our partners and our customers, who have trusted us with their IT for years. On 19 November we collect it in Utrecht.
