Tilburg combines two worlds that both place serious demands on IT. On one hand it is one of the largest student cities in the Netherlands: Tilburg University, Fontys and Avans bring tens of thousands of students to the city, and around the Spoorzone a lively ecosystem of IT, data and service companies has grown. Organisations serving that education sector — from staffing agencies to training providers — need workspaces that grow with the academic year: scale up in September, scale down in summer. On the other hand, Tilburg is a logistics hub. Business parks such as Vossenberg and Loven and the rail terminal with direct connections to the seaports and the European hinterland make the city attractive for transport and e-commerce. There, warehouses keep running in the evenings and on Saturdays, so WMS, scanning and planning software must always be available.
