Availability

A missed caller simply calls the next company

The phone rings while everyone is out with a customer, in a meeting or already home. The caller gets voicemail, or a menu with five options. Many people hang up and call the next business in the search results.

A receptionist or answering service fills that gap, but it is expensive and not available around the clock. An AI phone assistant is. It answers straight away, understands what the caller wants and makes sure the question lands in the right place. Your team is only disturbed when it really matters.

  • Answered straight away

Even at ten in the evening, on a Saturday or during lunch.

  • Just say what you need

No 'press 1 for sales'. The caller explains the question and the assistant understands it.

  • Peace and quiet for your team

The assistant handles repeat questions itself. Your colleagues get the calls that really need a person.

What it does for you

What the AI phone assistant takes care of

You decide what it knows, what it may do and when it brings in a colleague.

Answers straight away

Outside office hours, during lunch or when everyone is on a call: the assistant picks up immediately. You choose when it answers.

Answers questions

Opening hours, address, delivery times, what you do and don't do. The assistant answers based on the information you give it, so your team doesn't have to explain the same thing ten times a day.

Transfers to the right person

It understands what the question is about and transfers the caller to the right colleague, department or queue. No menu and no 'press 3'.

Books appointments and looks things up

With a link to your calendar, CRM or ticketing system, the assistant books appointments, recognises existing customers and gives the status of an order or ticket.

Every call as text

Read back every call: what was said, where the caller was transferred and what the assistant did. Useful for handovers, and for making the assistant better and better.

Several assistants, each with its own task

One for reception, one for faults, one for your English-speaking customers. When one assistant transfers to another, the conversation so far goes along. The caller doesn't have to repeat anything.

How it works

From incoming call to question handled

In four steps, without changing anything about your numbers or handsets.

Diagram: a caller dials your number, isaBEL routes the call to the AI phone assistant, which answers the question, transfers to a colleague or queue, books an appointment and saves the call as text.
  1. 1

The caller dials your usual number

Your numbers stay the same. In isaBEL we set when the assistant answers: always, outside office hours, when nobody picks up in time, or only on a separate number.

  2. 2

    The assistant answers

It introduces itself as your company's digital assistant and asks how it can help. The caller just talks, as they would to a colleague. The assistant replies in a natural voice, without long silences.

  3. 3

    It handles the question

Answering, transferring to a colleague or queue, booking an appointment or closing the call politely. If it doesn't know something, it brings in a person.

  4. 4

    You see what happened

Every call is stored as text in the management portal, with a short summary and the transfers. So you can see what callers ask and where the assistant can get smarter.

You stay in control

You decide what the assistant says and does

An AI phone assistant is only as good as its instructions. That's why we set it up together with you and test it thoroughly before it speaks to real callers.

Name, voice and greeting

Choose what the assistant is called, which voice it uses and how it answers the phone.

Instructions and knowledge

What may it tell callers and what not? Simply give it product information, price lists and frequently asked questions.

Who gets which question

Per topic you choose the colleague, department or queue. A fault goes to planning, an invoice question to accounts.

A safety net

If the AI ever doesn't respond in time, isaBEL automatically transfers the caller to a colleague or closes the call politely. You can also set a maximum call duration.

Why in your phone system

Not a separate AI service, but part of your telephony

There are plenty of standalone AI phone assistants. With those you forward your number to their system and they transfer back. With isaBEL the assistant sits inside the phone system itself. Fewer links in the chain, and so fewer things that can go wrong.

Who it's for

Where an AI phone assistant makes the difference

Some tasks need a link to your own systems. We build it for you.

Installation and service

Taking fault reports, asking about urgency and scheduling an engineer. Also in the evening and at weekends.

Healthcare and practices

Handling questions about opening hours, referrals and appointments straight away, so reception has time for the people at the desk.

IT for healthcare

Accountants and lawyers

Greeting every caller properly and transferring them to the right adviser. If that person is on a call, the assistant records the question.

IT for accountants

Web shops and wholesale

Handling questions about delivery times, returns and order status, with a link to your order system.

Help desks and service desks

Taking the first line: asking about the issue, creating a ticket and, when it's urgent, transferring straight to the colleague on duty.

Callers in other languages

Someone calling in English? The assistant switches along and helps the caller in their own language.

Privacy and rules

Honest with the caller, careful with data

The caller knows it's an assistant

The assistant always introduces itself as a digital assistant. That's fair to your customer, and the European AI Act asks for it too: people must know when they are talking to AI.

Access only to what you connect

The assistant only sees the information and systems you give it. No link to your CRM? Then it can't look anything up there either.

Clear agreements up front

Your phone system runs with us. The conversation itself goes through the speech model of an AI provider. Which provider that is and what happens to the calls, we agree with you in advance, so you can include it in your privacy statement.

Costs

What does an AI phone assistant cost?

That depends on what the assistant needs to do for you. Only answering and transferring is different from booking appointments in your calendar or looking up customers in your CRM. In an advice call we discuss what you want to achieve and work out the numbers for you. No strings attached.

The assistant is part of isaBEL. Already a customer? Then we switch it on in your existing phone system. Still with another provider? You simply bring your numbers along.

Frequently asked questions about the AI phone assistant

An AI phone assistant, also called a voice agent or AI receptionist, is software that answers the phone and talks to the caller in natural language. It understands what someone asks, gives an answer and transfers the caller to the right colleague. With isaBEL it sits inside the phone system itself, so you don't have to forward your numbers anywhere.

No. The assistant speaks in a natural voice and responds quickly, without long silences. Callers can interrupt it or ask something else, just as they would with a colleague. It does always introduce itself as a digital assistant, because callers should know they are talking to AI.

Yes, the assistant holds the conversation in natural Dutch. If a caller speaks English, it can continue in English. Which languages you want to offer, we set up during configuration.

It brings in a person. You decide in advance which colleague, department or queue it transfers to. If the AI itself ever doesn't respond in time, isaBEL automatically transfers the caller or closes the call politely.

You decide. For example only outside office hours, when nobody picks up in time, when it's busy, or always as the first point of contact. You can also put it on a separate number, for instance for fault reports.

Yes, with a link to your calendar or scheduling system. In the same way it can look up a customer in your CRM, create a ticket or give the status of an order. We build those integrations together with Nahayat, our partner for custom AI.

Yes. Every call is stored as text in the isaBEL management portal, with a short summary plus the transfers and actions. So you can see what callers ask and where to sharpen the instructions.

A phone menu lets the caller choose from fixed options, such as 'press 1 for sales'. An AI phone assistant simply asks how it can help and understands the answer. That's faster for the caller, and it handles many questions itself straight away. You can also combine the two.

That depends on what the assistant needs to do and which integrations you want. In a no-obligation advice call we work out the numbers for you. The assistant isn't switched on automatically: you decide whether and when to use it.
