Some partnerships speak for themselves. The collaboration between Aushi BV and Virtual Computing spans over 18 years and is a perfect example of how a partnership can grow alongside a business. From a small on-premise environment to more than 250 cloud workstations spread across Europe.
About Aushi BV
Aushi BV delivers a range of consumer solutions through various labels, with a strong focus on garden canopies. The company has grown significantly over the years and now serves customers in multiple European countries. With over 250 end users spread across the continent, a reliable, scalable IT environment is not a luxury but a necessity.
The challenge
When Aushi BV first started working with Virtual Computing over 18 years ago, the company was still fully on-premise. Servers were housed in their own building and IT management was a local affair. But the company grew rapidly. New offices in Europe were added, the number of employees increased and the demand for flexible working grew stronger.
The existing on-premise infrastructure could not keep up with this growth. Servers needed regular replacement, management became more complex and remote employees struggled to access systems smoothly. Aushi BV needed a solution that could scale with their international ambitions.
The solution
Virtual Computing migrated Aushi BV step by step from on-premise to a fully cloud-based working environment. The solution consists of multiple components:
- Online Workspace โ All 250+ users work on a fully managed cloud workspace. Whether they are based in the Netherlands, Germany, France or another European country, everyone has the same secure and fast working environment.
- Microsoft 365 โ For email, collaboration and document management. Teams forms the backbone of internal communication across borders.
- Windows 365 โ For specific users who need a personal cloud PC with more computing power or specific software.
- Local management and network โ Virtual Computing also manages the local networks and infrastructure at the various locations. This ensures a seamless connection between the cloud and the local environment.
The result
Aushi BV now has an IT environment that is as dynamic as the business itself. New employees are provided with a fully configured workspace within a day, regardless of their location in Europe. The scalability is impressive: from a handful of users 18 years ago to over 250 today, without IT infrastructure ever being a brake on growth.
Management is fully outsourced to Virtual Computing. This means Aushi BV can focus on what they do best โ delivering quality consumer products โ while Virtual Computing ensures a stable, secure and always-available IT environment.
The European spread of users is no problem. Thanks to the cloud, everyone works in the same environment, with the same speed and the same security. Updates, patches and security measures are rolled out centrally, keeping all locations up to date at all times.
