Microsoft Copilot Business promo verlengd tot 30 juni 2026

On 17 March 2026, Microsoft announced an extension of the Copilot Business promo through 30 June 2026. Buy now, and you lock in today's (lower) pricing for your contract term โ€” and pick up promotional discounts. Question is: which customers should jump on this, and which are better served by waiting or taking a different AI route?

    What does the promo cover?

    In short:

    • Applies to: Microsoft 365 Copilot Business bundles (the SMB-targeted bundles)
    • Window: buy now, before 30 June 2026
    • Benefit: today's (lower) pricing locked for your contract term โ€” usually 12 months
    • Plus: possible additional promotional discounts on specific bundle combinations

Microsoft positions this as an upgrade path: existing Microsoft 365 Business customers can attach Copilot to their existing environment and add AI productivity without a licensing revolution.

Who should consider Copilot Business *now*?

We see three customer profiles where a Copilot pilot or rollout before 30 June is rational:

    1. You already work in Microsoft 365 Business / Premium and want focused AI use. Copilot integrates into Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint โ€” same apps, AI layer added. For classic office workflows (meeting summaries, email triage, drafting documents), time savings stack up fast.

    2. You have 25+ employees, of whom at least 10 are in heavy knowledge roles. Below that scale, the absolute monthly time savings often don't justify the licence. Above it โ€” accountants, lawyers, consultants, marketers โ€” you recoup the licence within a few months.

    3. Your documentation and knowledge base are organised. Copilot performs best when it can reach SharePoint, OneDrive and your internal documents. Companies still keeping files on loose network shares or mailbox archives get weaker results โ€” not because Copilot is lacking, but because the source is.

    When should you wait?

We regularly advise against stepping in, or against a full rollout at least:

Working primarily in industry software? Customers spending most of their day in Exquise (dental), AFAS (accountancy), CClaw (legal) or another industry suite get little value from Copilot โ€” it works in M365 apps, not your industry system. For these customers a different AI path (specific AI agents for their workflow) is often smarter than a general Copilot licence.

No internal AI governance yet? AI in an organisation without clear policy creates risk: employees pasting client data into prompts, sensitive documents appearing in summaries that land in the wrong Teams channels. Before we enable Copilot for 50 people, we make sure policies, sensitivity labels and data governance are in order. That takes 4-8 weeks โ€” if you have nothing yet but want to start, plan this phase honestly.

Want to test first? Don't start with a full-tenant rollout. Our approach: a pilot of 5-15 users for 2-3 months. That tells us whether Copilot delivers in your context, and which task types yield the real return. Only then do we scale.

    Our stance

We sell Copilot, but we also say 'no' when 'no' is the right answer. For some customers a traditional M365 Business Premium environment is enough right now โ€” Copilot can come later when the organisation is ready. For others, a custom AI agent (industry-specific workflow) is a better investment than a generic Copilot licence for everyone.

We're not Microsoft resellers chasing a quota. We're your IT partner thinking about what fits โ€” including 'wait' as a valid answer.

Concretely: what happens when you call?

    1. 30-minute intro โ€” what do you run, how is your documentation organised, where are your biggest time sinks?
    2. Copilot readiness scan โ€” does your M365 environment and data organisation match what Copilot needs?
    3. Recommendation: pilot now, or shorter governance phase first, or park it and start with a different AI path

Schedule a call โ€” no obligations, no sales pitch. Or explore our custom AI projects if you suspect a custom AI agent is smarter than a Copilot licence for everyone.
