Grafana is an open-source platform that visualises data from almost any source (Prometheus, InfluxDB, Postgres, MySQL, ElasticSearch, CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.) into interactive dashboards. Indispensable for DevOps teams; for business teams a strong BI tool for real-time KPIs.

At Virtual Computing you get Grafana in a Docker container with optionally a Prometheus instance alongside for server monitoring. Alerts via email, Slack, PagerDuty or Webhook. Multi-user with granular permissions (admin / editor / viewer per dashboard).

Grafana is strong in time-series data, but also works with SQL databases for business dashboards: real-time revenue, conversion funnels, support ticket trends. Templating and variables make one dashboard reusable for 10 customers.

Frequently asked questions about Grafana hosting

For server monitoring usually yes — Prometheus pulls metrics, Grafana visualises. We host Prometheus + Grafana together on request (€19 extra for Prometheus). For business dashboards on a SQL DB you only need Grafana.

Yes, Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL, SQLite, Oracle — all supported. Configure datasource in Grafana with read-only credentials and query with SQL. Tip: make a separate read replica for BI so you don't burden your production DB.

Always the latest stable OSS version (free). For enterprise features (LDAP team sync, audit logs, white labeling): Grafana Enterprise licence via Grafana Labs — bring-your-own-licence and we host.

Unlimited on the OSS version. Standard hosting: up to 10 active users and 50 dashboards comfortably. For larger setups: Pro plan with more compute.

In our own Dutch data centres in Eindhoven and Den Bosch. Data never leaves the Netherlands — GDPR-compliant and outside US cloud jurisdiction (no CLOUD Act risk).

By default you get a virtualcomputing.app subdomain with automatic Let's Encrypt SSL. Want to use your own domain (app.yourcompany.com)? Set it up in the portal — we'll show you the CNAME settings.
