Sovereign cloud workspace

What is a sovereign cloud workspace?

A sovereign cloud workspace is a full Windows workspace running on hardware in your own country, under Dutch management and European law. You sign in from any laptop, tablet or phone and work in the environment you know. The difference with an ordinary cloud workspace is not what you see, but where your desktop, your files and your applications sit and who can reach them. With us that workspace is called the Online Workspace. It runs on AVD on our own servers in Eindhoven and Den Bosch. AVD stands for Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft's workspace technology. So you get the workspace the way Microsoft intended it, with your files in the Netherlands and a fixed amount every month. This applies to every Online Workspace we deliver from 1 September 2026 onwards.

What we deliver

Your workspace runs on AVD, on our own hardware in Eindhoven and Den Bosch. You pay no consumption costs and there is no bill running with a foreign cloud provider. Every company gets its own environment: its own servers, its own domain and its own settings. Your users, your files and your applications stand on their own. So the answer to the question who else can reach your data is: nobody. We are ISO 27001 certified and in line with NEN 7510, with management, monitoring and support by a fixed Dutch team. Microsoft orchestrates sign-in and security, the content stays with us. You sign in with MFA through Microsoft Entra, over a secure connection via the Microsoft management layer, and you open the workspace with the Windows App. What the EU Data Boundary does and does not solve is explained in digital sovereignty for SMEs.

What a sovereign cloud workspace costs

€35 per user per month + Microsoft 365 Business Premium €19.06 = €54.06 all-in. Already have Business Premium? Then you only pay the €35. Business Premium is required: it is how you sign in, and Microsoft Defender and Intune are part of it. So the security sits in the licence you need anyway. The €35 covers management, security, backup and support. Cancellable monthly, without consumption costs and without extra invoices afterwards. If you need to enter a tender or procurement process with a fixed price per employee, we put that sum straight into the quote. You have it within one working day.

Who the sovereign cloud workspace is for

For organisations that have to explain to someone else where their data sits. In practice those are: • Healthcare organisations and practices that want to work in line with NEN 7510, with Exquise, Oase Dental or their own patient record system. See IT for healthcare • Accountancy and administration firms using Exact, AFAS, Twinfield or Tax Framework. See IT for accountants • Law firms with case files that should not leave the building. See IT for law firms • Government and semi-public organisations that account for their supplier chain • Companies with procurement requirements from their clients, for example in industry and supply If you have five to two hundred employees and your own line-of-business software, this is the logical choice. We install your software and handle the move without downtime.
