Cloud solutions for virtually any organisation!

Virtual Computing was founded in 2006 by Robin Damen, who was a computer science student at the time. With the help of Starterslift, he got the opportunity as a young entrepreneur to start his own business next to his studies. Robin started with the development of workplace hosting, a service where companies can easily and quickly organize their ICT affairs.

In 2006, cloud computing services were still in their infancy. This form of IT support was fairly unknown to most companies but has since undergone tremendous development. Virtual Computing was one of the pioneers in the field of workplace hosting and cloud solutions. During his first years with the company, Robin Damen gained a lot of experience at larger organizations where Terminal Server and Virtualization were used. At the end of 2007, Virtual Computing was nominated for the Shell Young Business award and eventually achieved 7th place, an achievement Virtual Computing is proud of and which generated a lot of publicity.

Working method

Virtual Computing has grown into a full ICT service provider for small and medium-sized companies. With a team of 7 motivated professionals, the company offers its customers customisation, flexibility and personal service on a daily basis.

In the development of its services, Virtual Computing always chooses for an honest and transparent way of working and a clear communication with the customer. Every organisation is different and therefore the company offers every customer an appropriate solution. The customer is central. Virtual Computing likes to calculate sharp, honest rates and gives the customer insight in the actual IT costs.

Since 2012, Virtual Computing has a second data centre location in Eindhoven. This datacenter guarantees customers a secure twin datacenter hosted entirely within the Netherlands. For international customers, Virtual Computing has also offered a service in Hong Kong since 2015. This way, customers can collaborate even better with offices in Asia.

In 2016, Virtual Computing put the focus on further development and improvement, including the start of the ISO 9001 process and the certification for working according to the NEN 2710 data storage in healthcare. In addition, Virtual Computing introduced its extensive customer portal in which customers can also manage the online workplace themselves.
